“My mother and her mother and all their female relatives were born and raised in Scotland. They always knitted. I was born knitting—in America—and soon after crocheted. I started weaving over thirty years ago and have been weaving and teaching weaving since then.

I've had a custom-order hand woven rag rug business for thirty years and for the past 10-15 years have been also weaving garments and throws of cotton and rayon chenille. Lately, I've been knitting and crocheting hats, scarves, bibs, and boas of heavenly novelty yarns. The best part of all of these activities is playing and designing with color. And I am crazy for color.

It's unimaginable that I wouldn't weave or knit or crochet or all three everyday. Making beautiful things is my greatest joy. And I am crazy for color. Did I say that?”
